Continually reformed

In today’s culture, they say you stay relevant and successful by reflecting the value of the society you are in. Unfortunately, it has become common knowledge that this secular principle is spreading amongst Christians like wildfire. It is consuming anything in its path, including the foundational ideologies and moral codes, fashioned from the eternal truth of the gospel of Christ. Likewise, many believers are continually embracing cultural worldview as opposed to biblical worldview.

We believe we are to be holy (1 Peter 1:15-16, Leviticus 20:26, Ephesisans 5:27) or follow “The way of holiness” (Isaiah 35:8, Acts 24:10-16). We are to build-up each other and influence our society by continuously maintaining our true reformation. That is a way we can regain the relevance lost over the continued actions of supposed Christians compromising on biblical truth in other to elicit favour and false relevance from the world. Most importantly, we must be part of the glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish as we await the return of Christ (Ephesians 5:27). BYC is therefore committed to seeing Christians at the family grassroot level built-up on the truth of the gospel of Christ (Galatians 2:14). That is at the core of what BYC is about. This is anchored on the scriptures in Matthew 16:16-18, which says, …Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God …upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
